The doorbell keeps ringing and it’s all the parcels arriving from last week’s Black Friday sale. Parents are complaining but it’s all worth it.
Anyway, they should be proud of their son. I can’t navigate the wet market but I can read the stock market. I may not be an Aunty killer but I can be the Amazon.com killer.
Back to Black Friday. I’ve already been hunting for deals for awhile now. Sadly, money doesn’t grow on trees. I regretted not buying during 9.9. I held out for a better bargain during 11.11. BFCM was time to take the plunge. Speaking of which, I am intrigued by return policies in America.
**America’s Return Policy**
Don’t like it? Return it.
When chatting on international Facebook pages or forums, they’d be discussing how they simply ordered two items and return the one the don’t like. I wonder how this has affected their consumer culture over the years.
For us, we spend a lot of time deliberating and “testing” the product out at stores before biting the bullet. But even then, it’s still a hit or miss. It keeps us prudent and at the same time the sales person can take in a deep breath after clinching the deal.
For myself, buying a wrong product means I head over to sell it to a third party, usually at a loss. Hello Carousell. Sometimes, it’s a wrestling match with those “Carouhell-ers”. I hate lowballers.
So… Hope that this time, I don’t suffer buyer’s remorse… And oh great. Just got an e-mail for 12.12.
